It was with great delight as we marked world epilepsy awareness day/Purple on March 26th at Ilage Community Ajegunle, Lagos State Nigeria.

We marched into this very underdeveloped local community with the goal and objective of creating awareness with the support of many volunteers and sponsors.

We also had in our presence Psychiatric Dr Arum Rachel From Yaba Neurological Logical Hospital. She helped in advising 3bold men who came out to speak on their struggles with living life in such a community with Epilepsy. They have constantly been ridiculed and bullied.

Two of these men have never been to the hospital. One of them who had has long run out of medication. With money we received from donations we were able to get him enough mediation to last him for atleast 3months. We also informed him to contact us 2weeks before he runs out.

It was an inspiring event and we intend to return to this local community in due time.
